Give VoIP calls the same priority as operator telephony calls is a strategic decision of Apple to pull the rug out from under the operators’ user experience advantage. As OTT VoIP and operator calls are made equal on iOS10 users will become more indifferent as to which service to use. It makes the embedding of telephony in business communications and collaboration services more natural.

Why Dropbox Must Take WebRTC Seriously

Although it looks like the Dropbox WebRTC honeymoon wasn’t a successful one, looking at the market Dropbox is operating in, it must take WebRTC and unified communications seriously. The major gap it has now is in the unified communications part (voice, video and messaging). WebRTC is what can help Dropbox close this gap and become its growth engine in the enterprise space.
